Eli had his first sleep over this weekend. I heard some noise at one in the morning, long after I had gone to bed. I assumed that one of them was upset and I would be having to make a late night drive to get Caleb home. Nope...instead I find them terrorizing the kitten. So several bags of popcorn and a package of oreo cookies later they finally fell asleep.

Since our last shed got blown away in a bad wind storm early last year we have been needing a new one. Chuck has been working on it this last week, with some help from his dad visiting us from California. Eli and Abby have been a lot of help. I will post more pictures when it is done.

Bad planning on my part. After coming home from Girl's Camp I thought it would be fun to go to Clear Creek Metro Park. I didn't take into consideration that a huge rain storm had hit the day before. The clear creek was a muddy river! Oh well, all the better to make mud pies in.

Dinner and a Movie

There is a great retro drive in not too far from us in Lancaster. The kids had a fun time watching Up. It has been a long time since I have been to a drive in. It was a great family home evening activity. But warning... the movies start really late, like 10:30 pm. By the time you get through the second showing it is hard to drive home.

Ice Cream and Baby Chicks

We love going to the Velvet Ice Cream Festival. There is this show there with a man and his wife that train dogs to heard. It is amazing. The kids were a 'cone' that the dogs had to heard the duck around. Then of course, pony rides, tractor rides, rubber band machine guns and ice cream. We also went up to my parents the same day to see their new baby chicks.

More T-Ball

T-ball has been hilarious to watch. There is always some kid dancing or playing with his hat or with his hands down his pants. Thank goodness the worst mine does is play in the sand. Today he was the catcher. Maybe we will try soccer for him next season. T-ball has A LOT of down time.

Fun Day at school

The month of May was filled with fun activities. The school hosted a 'Fun Day'. Luckily I remembered to lather up the kids in sunscreen for hours of games. Sadly, I forgot to lather up myself. Abby was in tears the first day of summer vacation. IS THIS NORMAL? She would get really quiet and teary, when I asked what was wrong she would explain how sad she was that it was summer and she couldn't go to school anymore.
