Abby is back at school!

You would have thought today was Christmas at our house. Abby was so excited to get back to school this morning. She couldn't sleep last night and then woke up at 6:00 am jumping around the house because morning finally came.
More to come on Monday. Eli will have his first day...I am sure it will go just as good, yeah right!

Can I still ride my scooter?

So I am cleaning up shingles and I hear Eli come running to me crying...Well no wonder, look at his face.

I am worried that he is hurt but he is not. He was not crying for this but because he was worried that I wouldn't let him ride his scooter on the 'course' he created consisting of obstacles like 2x4's lying in his path and a 2 foot long gravel pit he made by placing gravel on the sidewalk to drive over. No wonder he looks like this now. I am horrified and he is thrilled!

Frantic Rush before August 18th

So as the summer is coming to an end there is a frantic rush to wrap up our house projects before Chuck (not to mention BOTH kids!) heads back to school. So far we have finished the kitchen, minus the hardwood floors and trim...ok and a few of the cabinet pulls (see pics below), planted our garden, rewired the kitchen and dining room, completed plumbing the laundry room, and are in the process of replaced the shingles on the roof.

The good news is that yesterday Chuck bought me a new car, yea me! So we are no longer a one car family. This has both positive and negative reprocussions. Now I will not have to plan my errands around when the car will be home, which is usually when the kids are home too. However, I will no longer have an excuse as to why I can't attend meetings, etc.

YIKES!
