This was the first year I didn't have to clean out 2 pumkins. This year only Abby wasn't brave enough.

Halloween here is completely different than in California. The city manages it and this year decided to have Trick or Treating the day before so it wouldn't conflict with other activities. Also, children don't knock on the door. I was wondering why we didn't get any trick or treaters last year. We have to sit on the porch or sidewalk to hand out the candy. *Note to self for next year, a 125 piece bag of candy is just about right*
On Halloween we had Trunk or Treat at the church. Which wasn't with trunks at all. People signed up to decorate classrooms instead. Total Chaos. Abby brought her friend Maddy the zookeeper along.

That's neat that the city is "in charge" of trick or treating. In my parents' city they have trick or treating from 3pm-7pm (their city is in charge too). Weird huh? The kids look darling and look like they had a blast!
