Finally they are big enough to help. You can tell by Abby's face how thrilled she is to be a part of it all. They had all of the leaves in a nice tall pile...until they figured out how fun it is to play in. Looks like I will have to rake again when the rain stops.

What is this??? Rake the leaves, no mac n cheese on a regular basis?? No chips??? YOU ARE A MEAN MOM!!! Hahaha...these things are what make YOU the good mom and ME the mean one...
Good job! I tried to get Justin to rake but he ended up making more of a mess! Next year for sure! I did, however, discover that there's another use for our snow shovel...it had kind of a dustpan effect but for leaves that worked rather nicely!:)
we didn't have to rake leaves,but we were supposed to pull weeds for a backbreaking 10 minutes every day after school. i am sure i spent more time at the window looking through the slats of the blinds to see the clock than at actually being productive. but i don't think that is why mom assigned us that chore.
Many of our leaves have just started turning colors and falling off. We are sort of slow this year.
Someday she will look back on that experience will good memories.
